Growing up, Andrea got sick, as many of us do; however, it wasn’t as easy for her to simply pick up the phone, schedule an appointment, and boom…receive good health care (let alone just health care). She realized how hard life can be (mentally and physically) for many families and individuals. It is why she decided to pursue a career in health care with a focus on social justice and civic engagement. Nutritional health is more than just the absence of a disease or the number on the scale. It is important to learn about the intersections of oppression and how they impact the health and wellbeing of individuals and families. Andrea’s mission is to provide individualized health care to all. Her vision is to be a leader in transforming how health care is provided in the United States by combining a holistic individualized approach with evidence-based medicine. Hence, she created a business where she can continue working on dismantling oppressive systems and providing access to nutrition care.
